Blustery Blissings from the Gold Country. Rumor has it that there are thunderstorms a-brewin’. One of my favorite displays of the Mother. Always have been a drama queen in regards to the forces of Nature. May have something to do with my youth in upstate N.Y. – plenty of weather drama there! May all beings be healed from the recent storms on the E.C.
I’d like to take this opportunity to not only tip my chapeau but give a standing ovation, cheers, accolades & kudos to my web maestra, Carabeth Rowley – carabeth128@gmail.com . She’s gotten me over my “fear of site building” and has been a patient and extremely learned co-creatrix & tutor. PLUS she is an enthusiast participant in Wild Iris’ Alchemical facial ju-ju. Ooooo…I like the sound of that! Thanks so very much, Carabeth.
Speaking of blustery, brings to mind some simple, DIY ways of getting your own fine selves warmed up when the weather outside is frightful (but dear you’re so delightful.) Wash the dishes in a dishpan, vs. using dishwasher, adding some lavender or orange essential oil to the dishwater. Just like in the olden times. GO SOAK YOUR FEET…whether it be in an electric foot spa or one you DIY. Any ol’ pot will do. Especially one of those enameled canning jobs you often find at a yard sale or thrift shop. A little hot water, some epsom and/or other salts & a few drops of essential oils go a long way. [WARNING…you might not want to make garlic mashed potatoes in that particular pot once you’ve dedicated it as your tootsie spa.] Another idea, run hot water over your feet in the tub or with hand held shower wand. Rub some sesame or coconut oil mixed with lavender, rosemary or geranium e.o.s* just before slipping into your socks & the mystique in the eve. Goodnight calluses.
And goodnight, sweet dreams to all. Remember the night rainbow…
